My ability to weave together my clients’ new ideas into the existing fabric of their lives, their philosophy, and their business, led me to quickly move into working as a creative director, helping my clients create products and discover new possibilities that align with their truth and amplify their impact.
As The Idea Doula, I use the same line of thoughtful questioning and empowerment to help artists, creatives and entrepreneurs materialize their dreams, expand their impact, and birth a legacy.
I call my process
Hi, I’m Gwendolyn Kuhlmann,
And I’m here to help you find your truth and make something beautiful with it.
I genuinely believe that our ideas are the breadcrumbs to the kind of people we wish to be and the kind of lives we dream of living.
After working as a professional opera singer for ten years, I took the passion for storytelling that I developed on stage to the online space. First working as a copywriter for spiritual healers and life coaches, I quickly noticed that in my effort to understand my clients well enough to write in their voice, I was having the unexpected effect of helping them find a level of clarity and purpose that they had not felt before.

Learning how to follow that spark of inspiration and to trust myself on that path has been the biggest learning curve of my life,
My clients have used the process I outline here to clarify their ideas and move forward to create new online offers, a one-woman show, an innovative app for spiritual healing, a groundbreaking management and production company, and a grassroots movement that helped change the face of California housing policy.
Clarity, Structure, and Flow?
Why do you need
For those of you who own a business, you’re going to feel like I buried the lead, but here it is: All of these questions are rooted in my work as a storytelling copywriter. You can’t bring people into your world, your offer, your creation, without a deep understanding of what you’re creating. Copywriters and language models need the same thing from you to write anything from a decent sales page and a set of emails to a grant proposal: your truth and its specifics.
3. Communication.
It’s the number one reason I got the spark to make this journal. I wanted a place for me and my clients to put all our brilliant ideas so that we had a safe place for them to sit while we finished the project at hand. Our brains are beautiful places, full of so many gems, and trying to hold on to all of them while you’re already in the midst of creation is enough to make anyone anxious.
1. Lighten the Mental load
You can’t have what you want if you haven’t actually identified it. Sitting down with your idea, outlining its parts, figuring out who you are in relationship to it, listing out who can help you get it done, actually makes it easier for you to identify when the pieces you need are coming together right in front of you.
2. Manifestation.
You can bypass a lot of things, but you can’t make a shortcut to your truth.
